RICH LIST Australia (7 Network) and New Zealand (TV NZ)

Both programs require sophisticated database management of all the potential items on a list, real time rendering of the answers and simultaneous SDI outputs to the mixing desk and teh onset LED or plasma wall. CPU 1 generates the list items while a second CPU handles the changing images in the booths and the switching on and off of the host aduio fed to the booths. The host buzzer buttons for switching the pods from listen to mute modes are real - when the host presses the button a cue is sent to CPU 2 which toggles the red and blue backgrounds and switches a mono feed to each booth on or off. A MIDI cue is also sent to the lighting desk to change the lighting color in the eclipse surround on the booths. CPU 2outputs four VGA signals covering the side screens and the LED walls lining the interior of the booths.

GOGSTOP Australia Belgium Ireland

GOGOSTOP uses 30 large screen plasmas as the gameboard for a modern version of snakes and ladders. The thirty floor plasmas are fed from an Apple mac computer with additional graphics cards and an SDI output card. In addition to the VGA control screen output, four of the outputs are generated by two double head graphics cards (two 9-way split screens and two two 9-way splits where only six of the nine portions are used). The SDI output can be used for a vaqriety of purposes - it can show the loaded board layout to the control room, the fast track game path (which can be used to show the audience at home the fastest path on the board) and board state.

The scoring module, controlled from a second Apple Mac Computer, handles scoring, display of the questions (in the Irish version in two languages), remote buzzer control and player responses.

DEAL OR NO DEAL Australia
The game engine driving Deal of No Deal Australia allows the game to be played live to tape, reducing post production time and increasing the drama of the case reveal sequences. In addition to the on screen graphics and sound effects, the Present-O-rama appliation also communicates via RS-232 to the handset vote units and via MIDI to the lighting desk.

DEAL OR NO DEAL New Zealand
The New Zealand version of Deal or No Deal is based on the American/European game. While the game play is similar to the half hour Australian version, two SDI outputs from the game computer are required - one to be used as a key over the contestants and host and another to feed the onset plasma screens. Both SDI outputs are genlocked to the mixing desk.

ITS ACADEMIC Australia
Its Academic uses a Present-O-rama Lockout Buzzer system. When a team buzzes in, other contestants are locked out. The buzz in sends MIDI cues to the lighting desk for the lighting change and a MIDI cue to audio to replay predetermined sound effects from teh sequencer. The host computer generates the scores and buzz in responses for the onset LCD screens as well as puzzles and game material which is fed to the vision mixing desk.
